Exciting Beginnings

Well I have been quiet for a while as I have been involved in new beginnings. Made in Shropshire have collaborated with the Shropshire visual arts network and we have opened a Shop in the centre of Shewsbury Town Centre. The shop is about giving Shropshire local food producers, arts and craft makers the opportunity to sell their goods on the High Street. The shop was officially opened today and I will be giving some of my time to this project as will many other "makers" to give it the best chance of success.

A week off and feeling Off

Well I had so much planned for this week with the silly season about to start and you've guessed it, I have a cold, well its not so much a streaming cold just I feel ill with it. So the shed has had to stay cold and cluttered as I am staying in the warm.

I did manage to make a couple of pieces from some beads I have recently made so I will let you have a look at them while I go back to my lemsip.

The necklace above is made from individual beads of linking colours in lovely autumn colours. I have added a Hill Tribe silver toggle clasp and designer silver tag to finish.

This is a bead I made a few weeks ago and I have teamed it with silver and faceted gemstones.

Still Here, still busy, but where are the beads?

I just don't know where all the time goes. Behind the scenes I am busy, busy, busy but I need to find the time to sit at the computer and upload some images of the beautiful beads that are coming out of the kiln.
Luckily I have some time off next week so ...watch this space!

Just another Day

Well after a well planned day off all goes pear shaped once again. So tonight I am going escape to my garden studio to do what de-stresses me most (make beads), what will come out who knows as I do not have any plans in my head as I speak. Today however had a rather autumn feel about it which make me feel cosy inside so I guessing I will start of with some amber's and reds. I also bought some pomegranates today which has added my seasonal thoughts. Don't you just love autumn, especially when it is dry and sunny?
